pitching again

Today I played two innings at first base and loved it. Then I went in as pitcher. I pitched two strike outs and then walked a man. Then I pitched a third strike out. Wow! Three outs on only 4 batters. I got to strike out a player who had been on my team two years ago -and was a pretty good player. I was very happy about that! I can't believe I did it. Now I can't wait until the next time I pitch. Of course I will still enjoy playing catcher & first base (and whereve else coach puts me) until then.

I am a Giant

This year I am playing baseball for the Giants. I am 1/2 way through the season. My team has been very successful. We won 8 games, lost 1 and tied 1. Wow! This is exciting. I have played some first base, second base, outfield, catcher and pitcher. I really like playing catcher. Here are some pictures my mommy took today when I was playing first base.

I got to pitch

I got to pitch on Friday night in my baseball game. I got a strike out. I got to pitch 30 pitches. I liked it.

Soap Box Derby Race

Today Michael headed down to the Goblin Asphalt soap box derby race. He was very excited to race - as it was the only race that he was able to compete in this fall. He and Doug left at around 6:30 this morning so they could get there and get set up.

Go speed racer...go! Will let you know how he does.

Fall Ball 2009

Michael batting. His friend Zach is the catcher for the other team. Michael - tired after a good game.

I play for the Timber Rattlers. My daddy is helping the coach. Last night daddy helped coach the team, because my coach was out of town. Daddy would have helped today, but he had to work. At today's game I had a great play at home. I also had a good play at first base. Too bad daddy wasn't there to see me.

I had a rainout today - it is actually a rainout of a rainout.

I did play a game on Friday and Saturday. I won the game on Friday night and lost by 1 on Saturday's game. Saturday's game was an exciting one - we were ahead, behind, tied, ahead, tied, and then they went ahead by one.

We also had the parade that kicks of the season. It was fun to ride on a trailer with my team.
